Game Technologies: Grandfather Clock UPDATE
So Spring Break is almost over and I'm feeling pretty good about my clock since it took me this entire break to do. Creating the intricate base design as a pain but I managed. All that is left is the little things such as the inner clock face and pieces. Then I'm going to put this clock into Unreal or Marmoset and test out the base coloring. Stay tuned

Game Technologies: Asset Reference
Before I begin modeling, I must map out the materials and main reference I will be utilizing in this process. Below are the reference images and breakdowns for my GTE class this month.
Grandfather Clock
Morse Code Device
There are a lot of pieces to this asset, so the arrows may be confusing but the majority of the materials are the dirty gold metal and base metal textures.

Directed Studies Milestone 3: Subdivision Modeling
Hello everyone Josh here, So I'm taking Directed Studies this month. My main focus is environment/prop art. This is a simple screw I made in Maya 2015. I modeled this with a cylinder and used several others to get the other shapes. since we had to model this in one pieces I sued the boolean tools to get meld or get the unique shapes according to the reference. I planning on attempting to model the other ones in the reference folder. All that is left of this is the wording on the front of the model.
Stay tuned for more. Also watch out for Retro Writer's posts as well.
